Creative Spirit Center 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Upon the birth of his son, Bay City artist Patrick Humphreys began collecting youthful playthings: toys. He bought the first toys in his collection for the sole purpose of entertaining his son, Cameron, but they became much more. To Cameron, these youthful playthings became intricate pieces of a play that originated in his mind. The playthings are alive for Cameron. They are also alive for the artist as components of his painting compositions. These toys are not mere still life objects; they are living entities that deserve as much consideration as a portrait. |
